Mini SeriesSometimes the tiniest gadgets have the biggest effects on our machines. We use that concept to develop the best tiny sensors on the market. On this web page, you can find a wide range of miniature sensors, also called capacitive sensors, which are so miniscule that they fit into the smallest spaces in the home, office, or industrial environment.
The truth is that some machines just require a sensor that is very small. The size of a miniature sensor is directly related to its job or function. We sell tiny sensors that must be connected to an electrical source, either direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC). Your major choice will be on the shape of the design. Choose from rectangular, wafer, cylindrical, or adhesive sensors. What is arguably more amazing is that the diameter of one of these devices is under a centimeter. You can get a sensor with a width starting at 2 MM (cylindrical) or select an adhesive design to stick onto a piece of equipment. The wafer design resembles a penny. When you think about what 2 MM really is, it is just two of the tiniest tick markets on the metric side of a 12-inch ruler. One of the first decisions is what shape you will want for a tiny sensor. A compact rectangular design would fit well into a box-shaped space. A cylindrical design might be the perfect shape to insert inside a tube. Why would you need such a small device? It is perfect for hard-to-reach places and for tiny electronics machines. A sensor might be an important part in a toy. If a toy pet must detect motion, for instance, to move or complete another action, a built-in miniature sensor could do the trick. The point of building the sensor inside the toy is so that how the gadget works is not in plain sight. When your business requires miniature sensors for different kinds of machines, choose from our tiny sensor products. We proudly manufacture and market these devices and sell them directly to you. Each product is backed by our quality guarantee. If you aren’t satisfied, we will work hard to find a solution to your product issue. For more information, please give us a call at 800-356-2661. We will be happy to explain the design details of any product, such as a selection from our available Disc Sensors, Wafer Sensors, and Cylindrical Sensors. All of these sensors require a remote amplifier to power the sensing unit. These units are supplied by Locon and are available in several different configurations including both DC and AC power options. Adhesive Sensor This sensor series offers several new possibilities for capacitive sensors. First of all it can adhere to many different surfaces and is even flexible and can be placed on a cylindrical tank. These sensors are 72mm in length and 16mm in width and can flex up to 15 degrees around a circular object. (not shown) Wafer Sensor The wafer design is basically the size of a thick coin and is available in diameters of 10 mm, 18mm, 22mm, and 30mm. This style offers many possibilities to situations that were previously impossible for conventional cylindrical sensors, when overall length is a problem a wafer design capacitive sensor can be the answer. Cylindrical Sensor This is the conventional line of capacitive sensors except that these sensors offer incredibly small dimensions. They are available with a diameter as small as 2 mm smooth and M5 threaded versions. |
